  • Course covers basic Unix concepts and system administrating coupled with advanced technologies like SAN, Veritas Volume Manager, Sun Solstice and Clustering
  • Course will be roadmap towards becoming a Certified Unix Systems Administrator, Sun Certified System Administrator
  • Lab equipped with Sun Enterprise Server E3500 (Twin Processor), 1 GB RAM, 72 GB Hard Disk, Veritas Volume Manager, Sun Solstice - DiskSuite

COURSE V (C05): UNIX SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND ADMINISTRATION - AIX (UNIXA)

Pre-requisite
The participant should be familiar with

  •  Basic Unix concepts, Unix Commands
  •  Hands-on experience on Unix (1year and above)

Description

  • Course designed to transform Unix Application Developers/Administrators into AIX System Specialists
  • Course covers AIX system administration coupled with advanced technologies such as ADSM, TSM, SAN, SP Clusters, HACMP, etc.
  • Course will be a road map towards becoming an IBM Certified AIX Administrator.
  • Lab equipped with IBM RS/6000 SP, 1 GB RAM, 210 GB Hard disk, SAN (Storage Area Network), ADSM, TSM, IBM RS/6000 43P

Duration
4 weeks (Full time)

  •  5 days for Basic AIX administration
  •  10 days for Advanced administration (SP and HACMP)
